He holds a B.Sc. in Insurance from Imo State University, an Executive MBA from Lagos Business School, and completed the Advanced Management Programme (AMP) at INSEAD Business School, France.

Ikenna began his career in 2002 at Assurance Bank Limited as a relationship officer in the Commercial Banking Group. Over the years, he has excelled in originating, structuring, and managing complex trade finance transactions, earning industry recognition for his work.

He is currently the Executive Chairman of Mitsun Group, where he provides strategic leadership and oversight across the Group’s operations in commodity trading, capital markets, oil & gas, real estate, and international business development. Prior to his elevation, he served as the Group’s Chief Operating Officer, championing several landmark trade finance deals and driving operational excellence.

Highly motivated and performance-driven, Ikenna is committed to organizational growth, strategic clarity, and long-term value creation. His leadership reflects professionalism, innovation, and a deep understanding of global trade dynamics.

In honor of his late father, HRH Eze Mitchell Ezesomaga Egbukole, KSC (Ochoroma IV of Egbu Autonomous Community)—a dedicated advocate for charity and youth empowerment—Ikenna founded the Eze Mitchell Egbukole (EME) Foundation, where he continues his commitment to philanthropy, community development, and youth support initiatives.
