Uzoaku Ike graduated from the University of Calabar with an LL.B in Law and obtained her BL from the Nigerian Law School. She was called to the Nigerian Bar and practiced as a legal practitioner in Nigeria until 2010. In 2014, she completed a Master’s Degree in International Public Administration and Social Service Worker at Leiden University, Netherlands. She later worked with Zein International Childcare Group in The Hague, serving in program management and business services roles that supported the organization’s operational growth and delivery of high-quality childcare services. Driven by her passion for service, she transitioned into the Social Services sector in Canada.
She completed the Social Service Worker program at Sheridan College, earning training in social work practice, policy development, crisis intervention, family therapy, social justice, community development, and settlement studies. She further completed a placement and evaluation role at the Centre for Skills Development.
Uzoaku is currently a Caseworker with Toronto Employment and Social Services (City of Toronto), where she supports residents in accessing employment opportunities, income supports, and community resources. Her professional journey reflects a consistent dedication to community service, human development, and advocacy.
